Please note that this 6 week block of classes runs every Wednesday from the 12th January, up to the 16th February. Friendly and welcoming postnatal yoga especially for new mums. It's yoga for YOU, but baby comes along with you for some lovely time together breathing, moving and relaxing. The classes create a wonderful community atmosphere that provide emotional and physical support. They are friendly, fun and easy going classes taught in a safe and nurturing environment. The main body of the class is created around gentle yoga stretches and postures that release those tense areas new mums have - tight and tense neck, shoulders and back especially. We also think about posture, and gently re-engage with your core and the pelvic floor to help strengthen these important areas. We end the class with a quiet relaxation time to nourish tired minds and bodies and allow you extra time to bond with your baby. Followed by tea and biscuits and time to chat! Benefits of Postnatal Yoga: ~ Strengthens the back, abdominal and pelvic floor muscles ~ Releases tension in shoulders and neck muscles ~ Helps to improve posture ~ Decreases stress and promotes relaxation ~ Rejuvenates the mind and increases energy ~ Builds patience and inner-calm ~ Learn breathing techniques that can help you get you and baby to sleep ~ Brings fun and pleasure to both mum and baby Open to women from 6 weeks postnatal (8 weeks c-section), up until baby is starting to crawl. No previous yoga experience required. Classes are 1.5 hours to allow time for tea, biscuits and chat at the end.
